About

I have always had a very keen interest in all music and began playing the piano at an early age. I completed Grade 8 piano and was subsequently awarded a Diploma in Music Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. My interests cover an extensive range of music and I am able to perform in many styles and genres. I studied jazz at the University of Sussex and feel as comfortable improvising a solo over a standard like 'Fly Me To The Moon' as I am playing a Mozart sonata. I am also an excellent sight-reader. These attributes make me ideally suited to provide you with precisely the music you are seeking.

I am an experienced teacher and enjoy sharing my knowledge of music and piano playing with my students. I believe that people learn best in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, playing the music they love and progressing at a pace they are comfortable with. I have led many pupils through ABRSM, Jazz and Rockschool grades. I was also awarded Distinction in a Masters degree in Philosophy.
